Do yourself a favor and check out Di’s blogsite.    CLICK HERE!!!    Di does video stuff for a living and has put her skills to good usage!   The reports and blogs from our racers has been incredible.

Remember that you can financially support any of these racers by going directly to their blogsite and just look for the donation tabs.  Some of these racers have already raised all the funds they need for their trip.  If you want help in directing funds to a real need, let me know and I’ll help steer you!  Of course, our own  Kara Frate  still needs our help and commitments!  You can also adopt an entire team for their prayer support.  You’ll get updates that package the latest of their writings and uploads.

Enjoy the video!

Every now and then we get these little downloads into ECF that brings encouragement and opportunity to invite new faces into our fellowship.  This Sunday is one of those times to bring along friends and family.  Jon & Paige Egan will be with us.  Of course, Jones and Izzy will be here…along with Uncle Steve and Aunt Nicole.  Yeah, our kids are in and we’re turning the pulpit over to Jon.  He’s been sick, so please continue to pray that his voice is up to the “want too” in his heart.  He’ll play and sing if he feels ok.

If you want to sow a gift into Jon & Paige, please write your check to ECF and we’ll pass it on to him.  As usual, tithes go to Every Tribe International!  It should be a fabulous day!  We’ve missed you and look forward to a great time with the ECF family!

Same Kind of Different As Me

“Whether we is rich or poor or something in between this earth ain’t no final restin place. So in a way, we is all homeless-just workin our way toward home.”

This quote comes from an amazing book entitled “Same kind of Different as me”.  It is the true story of a homeless black man, a rich art dealer, a woman sold out to Christ, and the eternal impact that love can have on the human heart.   This book will make you examine your motives, burn with injustice, and cry at the hand of providence. It will ultimately leave you thankful for waking up each day and yearning to spread the unconditional love of Jesus to your loved ones and strangers alike.

I shed many tears on the pages of this book, and I am the richer for it.
I was reminded that…
…we often take our loved ones, our health, and our very lives for granted.
…true friendship is sacred, holy and forever, but we rarely see it for the treasure it is.
…we really have no idea what people have been through and yet we are quick to judge.
…there is life-changing power in sharing the love of Christ.
…we are not in control…not of our past, our future, or the number of our days
…We all have a kingdom purpose to fulfill while on this earth.

Again, the bottom line is relationship…love in its humblest form!!!
This is one of the best books I have ever read…life-changing!
