Although this blog site has more to do with current events in ECF, we do take opportunity to recommend reading materials that we feel has the potential to make a positive impact on the body. This book will do just that!
I was in the Dominican Republic when Michael Hindes suggested I read: “LEADERSHIP AND SELF-DECEPTION ”Getting out of the Box”. My immediate thought was simply, “Oh no, not another rigid and bland read on principles of leadership!” Geez, was I ever wrong! Not only is the book thought provoking and stimulating, it’s an easy read that applies to every one of us in some form or fashion! The language is not religious, but extremely spiritual. It was created to help develop leaders and change workplace environments. But…THE CHURCH needs these truths! WE need these truths!
If you are willing to allow the Holy Spirit to mess with you, I believe you’ll find this material to be life changing in very practical and needed ways. I must warn you though: If we read LEADERSHIP AND SELF-DECEPTION ”Getting out of the box” while believing that this material applies to everyone but ME, we will miss what God is saying. But, that applies to most of scripture and the work of the Holy Spirit…doesn’t it?
