1.6.10 Inspiration:
After hearing a sermon at ECF one Sunday, Kristen Preston was moved and inspired to put some words down on paper. The following is quite heartfelt and beautiful.
He died for us.
My heart was hardened and now restored. I will live one day and pain no more. The image of His blood that was shed, burned into my mind so vivid and red. With His grace our hearts were healed. Pained our life and sorrows true, but we are saved by only You. You emptied our hearts and they were new; no more being blue Your word is true. The daily pain we suffer, nothing can endure. The walk of Jesus and His awesome life adventure. He walked the earth with people who spited Him. Not a mean word out of His mouth, such a love to show them. A crown of thornsJesus Christ. upon His head, for our sins His blood was shed. A spear in the side to make sure He was gone, they did not know He was to raise the very next dawn. Nails in His hands to hold Him in place. No one has ever died with so much grace. Nails in the feet of our Lord Savior, as He did us such an amazing favor. Tears from Mary’s eyes, as she couldn’t realize what all the suffering was for. Jesus rested, His earthly mother there was a reason so pure. His time was short, but the prophesy was fulfilled and God’s plan was revealed. Jesus went to hell and snatched the key, this truth fulfilled for you and me. He reigns on the highest cloud, so fellow Christians feel proud. We breathe the breath of life and it’s because of Jesus Christ.
